Here are answers to some of the common questions.
From the perspective of a media buyer, residual traffic refers to any traffic that: (1) is generated by the media buyer in favour of the service that the media buyer is promoting; and that (2) fails to be attributed to that media buyer.
For example, when a media buyer runs a campaign on a social platform, a portion of the users who are exposed to the media buyer's campaign may be intrigued by the service being promoted but may choose not to act at the time. Instead, that user may later perform a search for the service, or may directly enter the service URL into a browser. Under this scenario, although the search or direct URL entry was originally triggered by the media buyer's campaign, when working with legacy networks the media buyer would not be rewarded for driving that traffic.
The residual traffic phenomenon is both a problem and an opportunity for media buyers. It is a problem in the sense that, when working with legacy networks, residual traffic results in media buyers generating more leads than they realize but without any remuneration. It is an opportunity in the sense that, when working with DoubleYield, residual traffic results in media buyers generating more leads than hey realize AND being properly remunerated for those leads.
DoubleYield does not offer performance guarantees. However, members of the DoubleYield network typically achieve very significant increases in revenue and/or profitability within the first week of working with the network.
It is important to note that DoubleYield is an ancillary network: it is intended to complement, rather than replace, any network that you are currently working with. The exact percentage increase in profitability that a media buyer will experience following integration with DoubleYield depends on a variety factors.
Let's take an example to demonstrate. If you are currently spending $10k per day on media and are currently generating revenue of $12.5k from the leads that you generate, your profit margin (before overheads and tax) is in the order of 25%.
Assume that after integrating with DoubleYield your revenue increases by 15%. At this point you will be spending $10k per day to generate revenue of $14.8k per day.
Although your revenue has increased dramatically, because your spending has remained flat, the entirety of your increase in revenue will go directly to your bottom line. Your profit margin (before overheads and tax) would jump from 25% to 43.8% – a relative increase of around 75%.
These figures are highly indicative and, again, individual results will vary depending on a variety of factors. However, the figures cited in this example are very much achievable based on the performance of DoubleYield members thus far.
